Guided BWCAW Explorer Trip

8 day/7 night package; August 24-31 (limit of 8 participants)

Join our wilderness guide for a journey into the heart of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. What better way to immerse yourself in the wilderness than with a “local” who can help navigate and facilitate the trip – giving you the confidence and peace of mind along with the excitement of an unforgettable wilderness adventure. Each day will be capped with time for relaxing, reading, good company, great food and a chance to cast a line and maybe catch some supper as well as exploring the bays and lakes for various wildlife.

This package will include a rustic canoer cabin the night before and after your canoe trip with dinner and breakfast at the Gunflint Lodge, your complete outfitting with gear, food, map, transport and guide fees. You will just have to provide your personal items, fishing gear and fishing license.

Guided Saddle/Paddle Trip

Enjoy a comfortable yet rustic retreat combining the best of guided day canoe tripping and horseback riding.  Your package includes four nights accommodations in our rustic bunkhouse complete with sleeping bag, pillow and towels, your meals at the Gunflint Lodge, and 3 days to fill with canoeing and/or horseback riding.  Your personal canoe guide will treat you to some of the finest scenery in canoe country.  You can add some fishing, photography or just paddling to your day.  If you prefer, we offer a variety of guided horseback riding including a breakfast ride, day ride with lunch, and either an hour or two hour jaunt through the woods.  All rides include orientation as part of the excursion. 

Riders must be 7 years of age or older, and weigh 240 pounds or less.  
Helmets are required for ages 7-16, optional for adults.

Additional costs:  fishing license, RABC permit, sales taxes, and any gratuities you choose to leave for your guides.

Custom Guided Trips

You choose the area, along with your interests, and the time of year, and we'll help you design the perfect wilderness canoe trip. You can hire one of our guides for any length of time and for any services required. Custom means custom -- you name it: we'll accommodate you.

Guided trips can include first and last night's accommodations in a canoer cabin with meals, complete outfitting for three to ten day trips, route planning, orientation with your guide, paddling instruction and guide services. The prices are determined by the individual requirements and length of trip.

Please give us a reasonable lead time in planning your trip. We have a limited number of full time qualified guides. We do not use part timers that are floating around looking for work.
